In January we traveled to Baja. We stayed and dove with Club Cantamar outside of LaPaz. It was off season so some days it was just us and the dive master and boat captain.

Ok, on those days we were in the Baja1.
We had a great time and it is a great operation. Jorge was our boat captain.

There were California Sea Lions there. Unlike Monterey, there were also adult females. The youngsters were even more mischevious than at home but just as cute.
A Coke can for a toy.
We saw Dolphins from the boat on several occasions.

Our favorite site was "El Bajo". Out in open water, it is a pair of pinicicles that come up to 50 feet. We did 2 dives, just Mary and I with the dive master. We tried it another day, but the air vis wasn't good enough to site the landmarks.
These 15 foot hammerheads were swimming by about 15 feet away about every 10 minutes.

In between, there was plenty to see on the reef!

I have never seen garden eels so bold.

We were told there were 6 kinds of nudibranchs. We saw all 6 and got pictures of 5.

There were times when we weren't diving as well.
Milk? Ballena and sunset.
And a typical collection of other colerfull and interesting creatures.
